Coil Antenna Removal/Installation

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Coil Antenna Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • Do not remove the coil antenna unless you are replacing it.
  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Hood release lever (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
    2. Front scuff plate inner (Driver's side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Front side trim (Driver's side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Outer cylinder (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the coil antenna connector.
  5. Detach the steering lock tabs from the holes on the coil antenna.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
