Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Front Door Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Open the cap using a small flathead screwdriver and remove the screw.
  4. Remove the inner handle cover.
  5. Remove the inner garnish. (See INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)

  6. Pull up the cover and remove the screw.
  7. Detach clips A from the front door using a fastener remover.
  8. Pull the front door trim upward and detach tabs B from the front door.
  9. Disconnect the power window main switch connector and the power outer mirror switch connector. (Driver's side)
  10. Disconnect the power window subswitch connector. (Passenger's side)
  11. Remove the front door trim.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
