EGR position sensor is part of EGR valve. Disconnect EGR position sensor connector. Disconnect vacuum hose from EGR control valve. While applying vacuum to EGR valve, measure resistance between EGR position sensor terminals. See EGR POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  table. See Fig 1 . Apply 5.9 in. Hg of vacuum to EGR position sensor and recheck resistance. If resistance is not as specified, replace EGR valve.
