Oil Pan Removal/Installation: Notes

WARNING:
- Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.
- Remove the engine cover. See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
- Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the engine oil. (See ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENTΒ .)
- Remove in the order indicated. See Fig 1 .
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Add engine oil. (See ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENTΒ .)
- Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage from areas worked on.
- If there is any oil leakage, find the cause and repair or replace the applicable part.Β
- Inspect the oil level. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTIONΒ .)
