2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Diagnostics Disabling Procedure

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait one minute for back-up power supply to be depleted. Remove steering column covers. Disconnect lower clockspring connector. See CLOCKSPRINGΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove glove box. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULEΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect right and left side air bag module connectors. See SIDE AIR BAG MODULEΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove right- and left side lower B-pillar trim panels and disconnect left and right front seat belt pretensioner connectors. See SEAT BELT PRETENSIONERΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Access SAS control module and disconnect harness connectors. See SAS CONTROL MODULEΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
