Continuity Inspection

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Continuity Inspection
  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the fuel pump unit connector.
  4. Inspect for continuity between fuel pump unit terminals B-D.
    • If there is continuity, perform the "Circuit Open/Short Inspection".
    • If there is no continuity, replace the fuel pump unit. (See FUEL PUMP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
