Parking Brake Lever Removal/Installation: Notes

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Notes
  1. Remove the main silencer. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Remove the heat insulator.
  3. Remove the under cover (rear).
  4. Remove the second-row seat. (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Remove the center console bracket as shown in the illustration.
  8. Remove the front scuff plate. (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Remove the front side trim. (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Remove the rear scuff plate. (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  11. Remove the B-pillar lower trim. (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

  12. Remove in the order indicated in the table in illustration.
  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  14. After installation, inspect the parking brake lever stroke. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTIONΒ .)
