- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the following parts:
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Center console (Vehicles with rear vent) (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Climate control unit (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] .) (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] .) (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] .)
- Car-navigation unit (See CAR-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
- Dashboard center panel (See DASHBOARD CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove in the order indicated in the table in illustration.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
