License Plate Light Removal/Installation

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION License Plate Light Removal/Installation
  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the liftgate trim. (See LIFTGATE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. While cutting the double-sided adhesive tape using a Flathead screwdriver or razor, separate the cover from the body.
    WARNING:
    • Using a razor with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using a razor.
  5. Press the lens tabs in the direction indicated by the arrows in illustration and remove the lens.
  6. Remove the socket.
  7. Remove the license plate light bulb.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Attach the double-sided adhesive tape to the cover as shown in the illustration.
