FRAME ASSEMBLY

The subframe is bolted to the body and:

- aids in structural support.
- provides mounting surfaces for the front suspension control arms.
- provides a mounting point for the engine isolators.
- provides the mounting surface for the steering gear.
- provides the mounting surface for the sway bar.
The rear subframe is bolted to the body and is used to:

- aid in structural support.
- provides mounting surfaces for the rear suspension control arms.
- provides mounting surfaces for the rear differential (all-wheel drive [AWD]).
