ENGINE COOLANT FLUSHING - 2.3L

Engine and Radiator

1.

WARNING:Do not open the cooling system while it is hot or while the engine is running.Drain the cooling system. See - Removal and Replacement.

2. Remove the thermostat.

3. Install the thermostat housing without the thermostat.

NOTE:See the cooling system Flusher Manufacturer's Operating Instructions for specific vehicle hook-up.Use an appropriate cooling system flusher to flush the engine and radiator.

- Use premium cooling system flush.

5. Install the thermostat.

6. Backflush the heater core.

7. Fill the cooling system. See - Removal and Replacement.

Heater Core

1. Drain the cooling system. See - Removal and Replacement.






WARNING:Do not open the cooling system while it is hot or while the engine is running.

2. Back flush the heater core.

3. Fill the cooling system. See - Removal and Replacement.
