- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
- Drain the cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3L .
- Disconnect the block heater electrical connector.CAUTION:
- Make sure that the block heater wiring is routed and secured away from rotating or hot components or damage to the wiring may occur.
- Remove the block heater.
- To install, tighten to 21 N.m {2.1 kgf.m, 15 Ib.ft}.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
