  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Drain the cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING - 2.3LΒ  .
  3. Disconnect the block heater electrical connector.
    CAUTION:
    • Make sure that the block heater wiring is routed and secured away from rotating or hot components or damage to the wiring may occur.
  4. Remove the block heater.
    • To install, tighten to 21 N.m {2.1 kgf.m, 15 Ib.ft}.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
