Powertrain/Drivetrain Mount Neutralizing

2008 Mazda Tribute s Sport, 4WDSECTION Powertrain/Drivetrain Mount Neutralizing

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Loosen, but do not remove, the powertrain/drive-train mount fasteners.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not twist or strain the powertrain/drivetrain mounts.
  4. Move the vehicle in forward and reverse 0.6-1.2 meters (2-4 ft).
  5. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  6. Tighten the powertrain/drivetrain mount fasteners.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Test the system for normal operation.
