CAUTION:
  • Use the flex probe kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.

PINPOINT TEST 1 NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE MODULE - ANTI-LOCK BRAKE CONTROL MODULE
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK CIRCUIT (LB) AND (R) FOR AN OPEN
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect the ABS Module 0413-101.
  • Key ON, Engine OFF (KOEO).
  • Measure the voltage between the ABS module 0413-101 pin 4, circuit (LB), harness side and ground; and between the ABS module 0413-101 pin 32, circuit (R), harness side and ground.
  • Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?Β 
Yes Go to next step.
No Repair the circuit. Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test.
2 CHECK CIRCUIT (B/W) FOR AN OPEN
  • Measure the resistance between the ABS module 0413-101 pin 16, circuit (B/W) harness side and ground.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?Β 
Yes Check the module communications network. See COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
No Repair the circuit. Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test.
