(For all 2.3L vehicles and 3.0L vehicles with PCMs that have tear tag numbers of SJCO, SJC1, SJC2, HQP1, HQP2, or HQP3.)

NOTE:
  • When replacing a powertrain control module (PCM), the following items are required:
  • WDS or equivalent tester with B18 or later software loaded.
  • Minimum two ignition keys for reprogramming PATS (be sure to ask customer for ALL spare keys).
  • For 2.3L - obtain new PCM part number YF11-18-881.
  • For SJCO, SJC1, and SJC2 - obtain new PCM part number AJ08-18-881F.
  • For HQP1, HQP2, and HQP3 - obtain new PCM part number AJ25-18-881.
  • With old PCM still in vehicle follow procedure below.
