- Remove the two bolts from the fan control module with the connectors still connected.
- Start and warm up the engine.
- Monitor the engine coolant temperature with the WDS or equivalent.
- Measure the voltage at the terminal B of cooling fan control module connector (2 terminals) from the harness side as shown in the table.ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE
Inspection Result Condition A/C Engine coolant temp. IG SW ON OFF Below 95°C {203°F} Fan stops IG SW ON (Idling) OFF Below 95°C {203°F} Fan stops IG SW ON (Idling) ON (1) Below 95°C {203°F} 6.9V-12.1V IG SW ON (Idling) OFF Above 100°C {212°F} 0-6V-14.6V (1) When the magnetic clutch and the middle pressure SW are on. - If not as specified, replace the fan control module.
