Removal and Installation
2008 Mazda Tribute s Sport, 4WDSECTION Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the battery ground cable; for additional information, refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT .
- Pull the tilt wheel lever down in open position, as necessary.
- Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover.
- Remove the lower instrument panel steering column cover.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
- Remove the transceiver assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the transceiver assembly.NOTE:
- No key replacement or re-initialization needs to occur with the removal or installation of a new PATS transceiver.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
