- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the air cleaner. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ] .)
- Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
- Remove the water pump drive belt pulley. (See WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT PULLEY REMOVAL NOTE .)
- Remove in the order indicated in Fig 1.
