Elevation System Check

2008 Mazda Tribute s Sport, 4WDSECTION Elevation System Check

  1. Check the ground reflection verification and sensor coverage pattern.

  3. The parking aid system must be checked to make sure that the system does not see signals from ground reflections.
  4. The following system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a 3.0 meters wide by 4.5 meters deep (15 feet wide by 10 feet deep) smooth concrete surface, free of all obstacles and noise from fan and pneumatic tools.
  5. Turn the ignition to the ON position, engine off.
  6. Set the parking brake on.
  7. Place the gear shift in reverse.
  8. NOTE: No audible alerts should be heard. If audible alerts are heard, check to make sure the bumper is correctly installed and is not tilted downward so that the sensor is pointing at the ground.
  9. Verify that no audible alerts are heard.
