- Warm up engine to normal operating temperature and let idle.
- Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM, then quickly release throttle.
- Using screwdriver or stethoscope, listen to each fuel injector for operating sound. Ensure that injectors are not operating above about 2500 RPM.
