PROBLEM SYMPTOMS CHART - INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE (IMTV) SYSTEM

DTC P0660, P2070, P2071 INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE (IMTV)
DETECTION CONDITION
  • All listed DTCs are specific to IMTV system.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Air cleaner assembly
  • Air inlet tube
  • Clean air tub hose and resonator
  • Intake manifold tuning valve (IMTV) also includes the long short runner control (LSRC)
  • IMTV electric actuator assembly
  • Harness: IMTV, MONITOR, SIGNAL and VPWR
  • PCM failure
HINT IMTV Sensor Description
  • The IMTV system allows greater engine performance from small displacement engines.
    • When commanded by the PCM, the IMTV solenoid moves, causing intake runner length to change based on PCM parameters.
