STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR FOR SHORT TO GROUND
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect the speed control actuator connector 0120-101.
  • Is the indicator lamp illuminated?Β 
Yes GO to the next step.
No INSTALL a new cruise control actuator. See SPEED CONTROL ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
2 CHECK CIRCUIT (O/LB) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
  • Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C-220b.
  • Measure the resistance between the cruise control actuator connector 0120-101 pin 1, circuit (O/LB), harness side and ground.
  • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?Β 
Yes INSTALL a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/ INSTALLATION .
No REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
