DTC P0122 [L3] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P0122 TP sensor No. 1 circuit low input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • If PCM detects TP sensor No. 1 voltage below 0.2 V  after ignition switch to ON, PCM determines that TP circuit has a malfunction.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
  • PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • TP sensor malfunction
  • Connector or terminal malfunction
  • Open circuit between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 2AK
  • Short to ground between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 2AK
  • Open circuit between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
  • Short to ground between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
  • PCM malfunction
