Diagnostic Function Check

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Diagnostic Function Check

  1. Remove key from ignition. Close all doors. Open driver's door. Go to next step.
  2. Complete this step within 30 seconds. Reinsert ignition key into ignition. Turn ignition switch to ON position, then back to LOCK position. Remove ignition key. Push driver's door lock switch 3 times. Repeat this step 3 more times. Go to next step.
  3. Confirm following responses occur, in order, within 7 seconds:
    • All doors lock.
    • Driver's door unlocks.
    • All other doors unlock.
    • Horn sounds and headlights flash twice while hazard lights flash.
    If all responses occurred as specified, diagnostic function is operating properly. Diagnosis is complete. If all responses did not occur as specified, perform appropriate system diagnosis. See SYMPTOM TESTSΒ  .
