DTC P2103 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2103

Throttle actuator circuit high input

DETECTION CONDITION

PCM monitors the throttle actuator circuit current. PCM detects throttle actuator circuit current excessive high, PCM determines that the electronic throttle actuator circuit malfunction.

Diagnostic support note

This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
DTC is stored in PCM memory.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Short to power supply between throttle body terminal E and PCM terminal 2B
Throttle valve motor malfunction
PCM malfunction
