DTC P0122 DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P0122

TP sensor No. 1 circuit low input

DETECTION CONDITION

If PCM detects TP sensor No. 1 voltage below 0.2 V after ignition switch to ON, PCM determines that TP circuit has a malfunction.

Diagnostic support note

This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

TP sensor malfunction
Connector or terminal malfunction
Open circuit between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 2AK
Short to ground between throttle body terminal A and PCM terminal 2AK
Open circuit between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
Short to ground between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
PCM malfunction
