Test G: Charging System Warning Indicator Is Off With Ignition Switch In Run Position With Engine Off (3.0L)
Check Charging System Warning Indicator LampΒ - Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect generator 3-pin connector X-102a. See Figure. Connect fused (15-amp) jumper wire between generator connector terminal No. 1 (Light Green/Red wire) and ground. Turn ignition switch to ON position, engine off (KOEO). If charging system warning indicator illuminates, replace generator. See GENERATORΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If charging system warning indicator does not illuminate, inspect instrument cluster for possible fault. For 2002 models, see INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
