Refrigerant Lines Removal/Installation [L3 With TC]: Notes

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Notes

  1. Remove the battery.
  2. Discharge the refrigerant from the system. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY. ) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING [L3 WITH TC]. )
  3. Remove the air cleaner cover, air cleaner element and air cleaner case. (See INTAKE AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC]. )
  4. Remove the shroud panel. (See SHROUD PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. )
  5. Remove the right splash shield.
  6. Remove the right mud guard.
  7. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. )
  8. Remove the washer tank. (See WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC]. )
  9. Remove the front combination light (RH). (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. )
  10. Remove in the order indicated in the table. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.
    CAUTION:
    • If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  12. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST [L3 WITH TC]. )
