- Cover the workbench with thick cloth to prevent damaging the top fabric and rear window.
- Place the link onto the top fabric.
- Install the top fabric to the front bow.
- Roll the top fabric over the bow retainer.
- Hang the end of the top fabric on the bow retainer.
- Clamp the top fabric to the bow using water pump pliers which have been wrapped in tape. Pull the top fabric by hand to verify that it is held securely.
- Set the convertible top upright.
- Rivet the cables to the front of the link.
