- Remove the CMP sensor. (See CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Make sure that the CMP sensor is free of any metallic shavings or particles.
- If metallic shavings or particles are found on the sensor, clean them off.
- Install the CMP sensor. (See CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
