Engine Disassembly/Assembly: Notes

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Notes

  1. Remove the oil pressure switch. (See OIL PRESSURE INSPECTION .)
  2. Remove the OCV. (BP) (See OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [BP]Β .)
  3. Remove the oil pipe. (BP) (See TIMING BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
  4. Remove the camshaft position sensor.
  5. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
  6. Remove the intake-air system. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [BP] .) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [BP WITH TC] .)
  7. Remove the exhaust system. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [BP] .) (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [BP WITH TC] .)
  8. Remove the generator.
  9. Remove the oil filter. (See OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT .)
  10. Remove the oil cooler.
  11. Remove the thermostat. (See THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  12. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
  13. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
