- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONSΒ . The RCM module is located on center tunnel under utility tray. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEMΒ under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Unscrew 2 retainers and remove utility tray (cup holder). Remove 2 bolts securing RCM bracket to right side of tunnel. Slide RCM connector locking clip and disengage. See Figure . Disconnect RCM electrical connector. Remove 2 bolts securing RCM bracket to left side of tunnel. Remove RCM with bracket.
