Fuel-Filler Lid And Opener Removal/Installation

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Fuel-Filler Lid And Opener Removal/Installation

  1. To remove the fuel-filler lid opener, remove the left side rear side trim. (See REAR SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. To remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable, perform the following.
    1. Remove the driver's seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Remove the driver-side B-pillar lower trim. (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Remove the driver-side front scuff plate. (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Remove the driver-side rear scuff plate. (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Remove the driver-side C-pillar trim. (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  5. Adjust the fuel-filler lid. (See FUEL-FILLER LID ADJUSTMENT .)
