CHECK CODE 55 DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP INSPECTION INDICATION ACTION
1 Turn the panel light control switch to the dimmer cancel position after selecting check code 55. on Go to next step.
off Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 2A.
Is voltage 4 VΒ  ?
  • If as specified, replace instrument cluster.
  • If not as specified, inspect following parts.
    • Panel light control switch
    • Wiring harness (Panel light control switch-instrument cluster)
2 Turn the panel light control switch to the other position. on Measure voltage at instrument cluster terminal 2A.
Is voltage 0 VΒ  ?
  • If as specified, replace instrument cluster.
  • If not as specified, inspect following parts.
    • Panel light control switch
    • Wiring harness (Panel light control switch-instrument cluster)
off Input signal to instrument cluster is okay.
