Water Pump Removal/Installation

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Water Pump Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the battery and battery tray.
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGSΒ  .) (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENTΒ  .)
  3. Remove the water pump drive pulley. (See WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT PULLEY REMOVAL NOTE .)
  4. Remove in the order indicated in the figure.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE: Tighten the bolts to the specified torque, then tighten them further 85Β°-95Β°.
