The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is a thermistor device which changes resistance proportionate to temperature changes. The ECT sensor inputs engine coolant temperature to the PCM. For ECT sensor location, see CHT & ECT SENSOR LOCATIONSΒ  table.
