Selector Cable Adjustment

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Selector Cable Adjustment

  1. Remove the column cover.
  2. Shift the selector lever to P position.
  3. Loosen nut A shown in the figure.

  4. Pull the selector lever to the R position side gate of P position, and tighten nut A.

    Tightening TorqueΒ 

    16-22 N.m {1.6-2.3 kgf.m, 12-16 ft.lbf}Β 

  5. Verify that the selector lever bolt end is exposed from the nut.

  6. Install the column cover.
