  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. See LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .
  3. If equipped/remove the tilt wheel handle.

  4. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
    1. Remove screws.
    2. Remove shrouds.

  5. Remove the key release lever bolt (1), lever (2) and spring (3).

  6. Install in reverse order of removal.
