Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Prove Out System
To prove out system, turn ignition switch from OFF to RUN position and visually monitor the AIR BAG warning light with air bag modules installed. The Restraints Control Module (RCM) module illuminates the AIR BAG warning light for 6 seconds and then turns it off. If the AIR BAG warning light does not illuminate, stays on or flashes at any time, a fault has been detected by the RCM and further service is needed.
