- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. )
- Disconnect the key reminder switch connector.
- Inspect for continuity between the key reminder switch terminals.
- If not as specified, replace the key reminder switch.
