Remove the intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 4.0L .

Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.

Remove the KS.
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Remove the sensor.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
