  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT , .

  3. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.

  4. Remove the bolt and the KS.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
