Normal Operation
The tachometer receives a variable voltage signal from the powertrain control module (PCM) to the instrument cluster through circuit (T/Y). The instrument cluster interprets the signal sent from the PCM and commands the tachometer to sweep to the correct reading.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
