STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE STOPLAMPS
  • Key ON.
  • Apply and release the brake pedal while observing the stoplamps.
  • Do the stoplamps operate correctly?Β 
Yes Go to next step.
No See STOPLAMPSΒ  .
2 CHECK THE TURN SIGNAL SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect: Multifunction switch 0918-105.
  • Key ON.
  • Does the turn/hazard lamp continue to illuminate?Β 
Yes If the LH front turn lamp is always on, repair circuit (LG/W) for a short to voltage. Test the system for normal operation.
If the RH front turn lamp is always on, repair circuit (W/LB) for a short to voltage. Test the system for normal operation.
If the LH rear turn lamp is always on, repair circuit (LG/O) for a short to voltage. Test the system for normal operation.
If the RH rear turn lamp is always on, repair circuit (O/LB) for a short to voltage. Test the system for normal operation.
No Install a new multifunction switch. See STEERING COLUMN MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH . Test the system for normal operation.
