2006 Mazda 6 s, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Removal/Installation
WARNING:
  • A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the engine coolant.
  3. Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.
  4. Remove the ECT sensor.

  6. Replace the gasket.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Refill the engine coolant.
