DTC P2677 [AJ] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2677 Variable air duct (VAD) solenoid valve circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The PCM monitors the VAD solenoid valve control signal current. If the following conditions are met, the PCM determines that there is the VAD control circuit problem.
    • The PCM turns the VAD solenoid valve on, but the current of the VAD solenoid valve control signal remains high.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (Other).
  • The MIL does not illuminate.
  • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
  • DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • VAD solenoid valve malfunction
  • Short to power supply between VAD solenoid valve terminal B and PCM terminal 1BB
  • Shorted VAD solenoid valve or PCM connector
  • PCM malfunction
