BCM Self-Test

2006 Mazda 6 i, 4D Sedan, AutomaticSECTION BCM Self-Test
  1. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2.
  2. Set up the WDS or equivalent (including the vehicle recognition).
  3. Verify the following vehicle conditions:
    • Ignition switch is at ON position.
    • All the switches are turned off (except the ignition switch).
    • All the doors, hood, trunk lid, and liftgate are closed.
    • All the doors, and liftgate are unlocked.
    • Parking brake lever is pulled.
    • Hazard warning switch is turned to off.
    • Turn switch is turned to off.
    • Rear wiper switch is turned to off.
    • Door lock switch is not pressed.

  4. Perform procedures according to directions on the WDS or equivalent screen.
  5. Verify if any DTCs are displayed.
    • If any DTCs are displayed, perform the troubleshooting according to the corresponding DTC inspection.
  6. Disconnect the WDS or equivalent.
