Ignition Coil Resistance (Protege)

1999 Mazda Protege ES, AutomaticSECTION Ignition Coil Resistance (Protege)

Ignition coil is integrated into distributor. Disconnect distributor 7-pin connector. Remove distributor cap. Using an ohmmeter, measure secondary resistance between terminal "G" and coil tower. See Fig 5. If resistance is not as specified, replace distributor. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCEΒ  table.
