Remove EGR vacuum solenoid. See EGR VACUUM/VENT SOLENOID VALVE LOCATIONSΒ  table. Apply air pressure to a solenoid valve port. See Figure . Air should not flow from other solenoid port. Using jumper wire, apply battery voltage to solenoid valve terminals. Air should flow with voltage applied. If solenoid valve does not operate as specified, replace valve.
