Central Security Module Removal/Installation

1999 Mazda 626 ES, 2.5 D, StandardSECTION Central Security Module Removal/Installation

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the passenger air bag module. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE .
  3. Reposition the central security module.
    1. Remove the three screws.
    2. Pull the central security module straight out from the bracket.
  4. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.

  5. Remove the bracket from the central security module.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
